Pictures Of New York City Buildings and Amusements

PS
Bridge of Sighs? No, a covered bridge linking Nabisco buildings over West 15th Street, as seen from the High Line, Chelsea

PS
The bridge even looks good at night

PS
The Flatiron Building, at 175 Fifth Avenue corner of 23 Skidoo (23rd Street)

Empire State Building as seen from the High Line

Top of the Chrysler Building

Statue of Liberty as seen from the free Staten Island Ferry

Jefferson Market Library (since 1967)
Originally the Jefferson Market Courthouse (built 1877)
(The most famous occupant of the courthouse jail: Mae West for 10 days in 1927)
Variously described as "The fifth most beautiful building in America" and "A mock Neuschwansteinian assemblage"
Surprisingly, it faced demolition in 1958 but was saved by public outcry and became a branch of the New York Public Library

Trinity Church, 75 Broadway, as seen from Wall and Broad Streets (near the NY Stock Exchange)

9/11 Memorial Fountain

The Frank Gehry-designed IAC Building at night (Inter Active Corp, 555 W 18th Street)
Seen in the background of the first picture in the NYC Parks photos page

Washington Mews - former stables on a private, gated street half a block north of Washington Square Park.
The buildings are mostly occupied by NYU faculty and language centers now.

If you have to ask how much it costs to park your boat at North Cove Yacht Harbor beside the Financial District and WTC,
then you probably can't afford to park your boat here.

PS
The Jane Hotel, 113 Jane Street, Meatpacking District

Find your way to Broadway at 112th Street, grab a table and yada yada yada you are master of your domain
(Not that there's anything wrong with that)

Wait - the inside is nothing like the show.
But ... isn't that Kramer on the wall?!

I bet they'll sell no wine before its time

It's sad to see Gumby ended up this way

Veggie Pride Parade : Give Peas A Chance

He's bin working hard and deserves a break

I smell a union rat

Talk about a pampered pooch
