Ted's Excellent Pictures Taken In Oregon October 2011

Columbia River Gorge - Horsetail Falls
Columbia River Gorge - Multnomah Falls
A view of Cape Foulweather, south of Depoe Bay, where they say winds regularly hit 100MPH.
I'd like to see the sales brochure for those condos - "Live in Foulweather and get blown away taking in the view!"
Cape Foulweather was named by Captain James Cook on a bad hair day, March 7, 1778,
on his 3rd and final voyage around the world - a/k/a The Hunt For The Northwest Passage.
3 weeks later he was on Vancouver Island planting the flag. Feeling better, lucky for us, he named that place after a shipmate.
Yaquina Head Lighthouse, north of Newport
Yaquina Bay Lighthouse, south of Newport

Another day, another dollar as a living statue
Nothing to see here folks
Keep Portland weird: That pretty well sums it up
Mount Hood - just minutes after take-off from Portland.
I believe one of the peaks in the background is Mt Rainier, highest in the state of Washington.
OK I'm cheating here - these pictures of Mt Hood from an airplane were copied from the web
but they look just like what I saw when I flew home - too bad I couldn't get at my camera!
